9 TWEETS ABOUT #AFRICAINNOVATION CONFERENCE ANALYTICS

Victor Kgomoeswana has taken his passion for spreading the positive message about doing business in Africa to another level, by adding an annual conference property to his “Africa Is Open For Business” company. The company name is rather long, but thankfully it has an acronym – AIOFB.

Let’s quickly mention 3 big moves linked to Victor’s Africa business empire that took place in the last 2 years:

He published a book in the middle of 2014, with the same title as his company’s name. As an aside, we are not sure if the company was named after the book or not. The book was well-received by the market, and the title has since been adopted by the South African government as one of their global trade mission themes.

He joined Gauteng’s 2-year old current affairs radio station called PowerFM in late 2014 with his own African business news evening slot from Mondays and Thursdays. Before this he featured for many years on 702 and SAFM radio stations.

As recently as yesterday – 25 October 2016, he launched the annual innovation conference under the AIOFB umbrella with the hashtag #AfricaInnovation. We were privileged to attend.

“It’s not by accident that we find ourselves on this [African] continent… But it’s by choice… what contribution we want to make. And if it’s half-hearted, it shows.” – Victor Kgomoeswana. CLICK TO TWEET THIS

We happily participated in the live tweeting of the conference content together with other 141 netizens, and directly contributed to its trending.

Here is an interactive grid of 9 of the more than 40 tweets that we published during the conference. Our only criterion is that the selected tweets MUST include analytics charts, to demonstrate our live social activation efficacy.

If the number and stature of corporate partners, level of attendance, and quality of speakers and topics is anything to go by, the 2017 edition of the conference is going to be even bigger and better.

On a closing note, we also heard a rumour that Victor is busy with yet another interesting Africa project, but we are not authorised to talk about it. So, keep your ear on our ground ?
